The SL-1210M5G uses a brushless DC direct-drive motor with quartz speed control at 33⅓ and 45 rpm. Selectable ±8% and ±16% pitch ranges, an instant reset function and electronic braking give the deck precise control for mixing, cueing and performance.
Starting torque is 1.5 kg·cm, bringing the platter to 33⅓ rpm in 0.7 seconds. The universal tonearm provides 230 mm effective length, 15 mm overhang, 0–6 mm height adjustment and horizontal-weight adjustment intended to reduce skipping during scratch play.
